We ate here instead of the hotel. Portions were large, the room was busy with early departures, and the bill did not feel like a safari markup.

Pilau that tasted like someone cared
I have eaten a lot of hotel pilau on the way to the crater. This was the one I would send another traveler to.

Useful, not pretty
The room is plain and the street is loud. The food is why you sit down. We were out in under an hour, which is what you want before a 6 a.m. pickup.
