We stayed on the sand
The beach is wide and the resort did not push excursions at breakfast. Expensive, and the room facing the sea was the correct spend.

A large south-Diani resort on a quieter stretch of beach. Rooms run in a long line behind the sand, with a pool for the hour the tide is wrong.

Children disappeared into the beach
That is a compliment. The pool was the backup. Staff were used to families and did not hover.

Beautiful and a bit sealed off
Leaving the resort for dinner meant a taxi and a decision. For a week that is either perfect or dull. We wanted one dinner out and found it.
